At the Tamale Sports Stadium last Friday, the Black Stars were held to a goalless draw game with the Cranes during  their opening group game, thus creating much anxiety among football fans on the chances of Ghana qualifying to the 2018 World Cup scheduled for Russia.

However, the Black Stars leading striker was not amused about the results, stating that Ghana had five more matches to play and would put up outstanding performances to book a place for Russia.

“ We have bright chances to qualify for the World Cup. This is  because we have five more matches to play.It is good that we did not lose the match against Uganda last Friday so we need to do well to win the other matches to enable us to qualify,” he gave assurance during an interview.

Besides Uganda, Ghana has matches against Congo and Egypt in Group E.
