The two finalists of this year’s MTN FA Cup competition, Bechem United and Okwawu United, will have a feel of the magnificent trophy ahead of the September 4 showdown at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Organisers of the competition have put together a trophy tour of the Brong Ahafo Region and Eastern Region, the home regions of the finalists as part of the build-up to the final.

According to Mr Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku, chairman of the FA Cup Committee, the trophy tour starts in the Eastern Region on Saturday, August 27,  2016 with a visit to the Nkawkaw chief’s palace,  where the trophy would be received and displayed for public viewing.

On Sunday, the tour moves to Bechem in the Brong Ahafo Region where the giant trophy will be showcased to the chiefs and people before returning  to Accra the following day for display at the MTN head office in Accra for a photo session.

According to Mr Okraku, the trophy would  be transported by sea from Accra to Mankessim the following day to be paraded through the principal streets of Mankessim and later those of Elmina.

He said players of Bechem and Okwawu would have separate training sessions at the Cape Coast Stadium on September 2.
