The National Organiser of the NDC, Mr Kofi Adams, who addressed the press conference, accused the NPP officials of colluding with two Electoral Officers in an attempt to influence the elections in favour of the party in six constituencies in the Greater Accra Region.

The EC officials allegedly planning with the NPP officials on the tape were Solomon Quartey and Mike Kwartey.

Ga language

The two EC officials were heard introducing themselves on the recorder in Ga language which was played at the  press conference organised by the NDC at its headquarters in Accra yesterday.

Mr Adams, who doubles as the Campaign Coordinator of the party for the 2016 general election, said the matter was critical to the December 7 polls and ought to be investigated thoroughly by the EC and the police.

He explained that the party was, therefore, lodging an official complaint with the EC and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Police Service for thorough investigation into the matter.

Desperate political party

He said the tape explained how desperate a political party could be when it became clear that the NDC was poised to win the election with a landslide victory.

Mr Adams stressed that the NDC as a party was committed to a free and fair elections, since President John Dramani Mahama represents  peace and foreign countries have a high respect for Ghanaians because of the peace prevailing in the country under the watch of the NDC.

He said despite these move by the NPP Ghana would be at peace after the elections for President Mahama to continue with his agenda of changing lives and transforming the nation.

Dead bodies on street

Mr Adams said another stock in trade of the NPP is to cry wolf when there was none and in 2000 and 2008 the NPP littered the streets of Accra with dead bodies which up till now had not been identified to scare market women to vote for them.

He said the NPP then promised the electorate that when they came to power the killings of women would stop.

Mr Adams  said true to their word when the market women paniced and voted them into power, the littering of the dead bodies on streets in Accra stopped.

Thumbprinted ballot papers

On thumbprinted ballot papers found in a Kumasi hotel, Mr Adams said they were fake ones planted there by the aide of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP who just checked out of the hotel room the same day the Regional Chairman sent the police there that they had found the thumbprinted ballot papers.

He said President Mahama had lived up to expectation and one could not travel a few kilometres without spotting a development project executed by the President in the area of health facilities, roads and water infrastructure.

Everything under control

He said the President and the party were, therefore, focused on wining the elections and were not entertaining any fears, since everything was under control.

He said the President had made it clear that he was a peaceful man and as a commander-in-chief would not sit idle for few people because of their personal interest to undermine and steal the election through foul means.
