Guinness Women’s Network touches lives

Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited’s (GGBL’s) Women Network (WOWNET) donated assorted items to children and maternity wards of the Achimota Hospital in Accra and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi on Valentine’s Day as a way of impacting lives in those facilities.

At the presentation in Accra, the President of the group, Mrs Justina Sagoe, said “our purpose as a business is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere, and Valentine’s Day affords us the opportunity to express this purpose in the communities in which we operate.”

She stated that the network chose the day not only to share love with the mothers and children in those hospitals but also encourage members to stay connected to their host communities.

The Medical Superintendent of the Achimota Hospital, Dr Mildred Kumassah, expressed gratitude to the team, saying “we hope this act does not end here but will be repeated.”
